I will pause in my busy day
To spend a moment with a butterfly,
Or watch the rainbow sparkle of a tear
As it melts into the crystal sea.
I will seize a bubble of wonder;
Find a world reflected, dancing
Light rays streaming from the clouds,
Watching white birds serenely glide from Heaven.
I will stand in the wild-flowered field
Turning with them in the wind, touching
Sky and earth, and mists of clouds,
That ride in rivers miles high.
I will speak to pebbles in the stream,
Whispering to them of secret dreams
Of dandelions and whooperwills,
Squirrels, who in meadows hop and run.
I will find a secret place
And fill it full of songs and praise,
Reach my cup up, with arms outstretched,
To receive more elixir from the Throne of Grace.
I will lift me up to rise with Him
Through dimensions mirrored, engoldened o'er,
And ride the Living Spirit where
All Life begins, in Love's so sweet and perfect Word.
To spend a moment with a butterfly,
Or watch the rainbow sparkle of a tear
As it melts into the crystal sea.
I will seize a bubble of wonder;
Find a world reflected, dancing
Light rays streaming from the clouds,
Watching white birds serenely glide from Heaven.
I will stand in the wild-flowered field
Turning with them in the wind, touching
Sky and earth, and mists of clouds,
That ride in rivers miles high.
I will speak to pebbles in the stream,
Whispering to them of secret dreams
Of dandelions and whooperwills,
Squirrels, who in meadows hop and run.
I will find a secret place
And fill it full of songs and praise,
Reach my cup up, with arms outstretched,
To receive more elixir from the Throne of Grace.
I will lift me up to rise with Him
Through dimensions mirrored, engoldened o'er,
And ride the Living Spirit where
All Life begins, in Love's so sweet and perfect Word.
